Feathered Memories

$800.00

Original watercolor, 2022.

This painting was created to accompany a High Country News essay in November of 2022. The writing was “Antidotes for Ecological Forgetfulness” by Jason Mark — It is about how difficult it is to hold on to our memories of environmental change. Purposeful observation and conversations so important in remembering and making sure that we value restoration and re-wilding. This piece shows a father pointing out to his daughter all the bird species he has watched over the years. The birds become more faint to represent the past, when their population were higher.

This piece comes matted at 12”x16”
