This is a view from a recent summer day exploring Orcas Island, which is part of the San Juan Islands in Washington State. I love this island, and one reason is also that it reminds me of visiting Peaks Island in Maine. When I went, it was a beautiful summer day, with clear views out to Vancouver Island.
